It's true, Ehonaruwe is sort of collapsing under its own weight. Years of misappropriation of resources, an endless war, crumbling infrastructure have all had their toll on the sprawling civilization. Central authorities can't keep up with verything. And yes, things are slowly turning around, but will they turn around soon enough to save everything.  No planets has opted out of being part of Ehonaruwe yet. Though it's only a matter of time. 

Lore wasn't even alive for the good times, but she knows enough to tell when times are hard. She's seen it before. It bothers her that the most she and her crew can do is apply band-aids. It might be worse for her that the crew doesn't see it that way. But for the moment she'll do what she can. It's not like her superiors can do anything about it. It'll take a major change in how things are done.
