Tefor was programmed to have a sense of humor. Humor wasn't in the plans for the original artificial beings. There was a debate about it but it was ultimately decided that maybe Aimeetaf top brass don't need to be funny. This led to some of the driest and most dour conversation that could be had. Though it sometimes made things more exciting than they needed to be because there wasn't much variation between the most serious or dire subject or something simple and unimportant like changing up the lighting. This led to a lot of unintentional humor on the superiors' part.

They were so perplexed when sapients laughed because a botanical arrangement was treated with the same gravity as a full-fledged emergency. When the bots in charge starting creating subsequent generations they decided to include ways for a sense of humor to evolve just so they had a better idea of what was going on. Most of the time it was unsuccessful.

Tefor though? Well, something in them simply clicked. They have enough of a sense of humor for all of them.
