Danae really wasn't the best sister. Even very recently. There were times where even she thought she had gone too far. It was a very intense but one-sided sibling rivalry. But a few months ago something happened and she's been able to let it all go and try again. It's not like there hadn't been bright spots before. But this one seems like it'll last longer.
